Connie is happy to return to Shinn Law Firm after moving to the West Coast in 2018. Since returning, she has honed her skills as a probate paralegal and uses her knowledge and experience in estate planning and adoption matters for firm clients.
Prior to rejoining the Firm, she worked as a paralegal at a boutique law firm concentrating on complex business litigation, employment law, and intellectual property litigation. She also specialized in document management and e-discovery platforms.
Besides being excited to work with Maria again, Connie looks forward to assisting clients establish their estate plans and understand probate procedures. “I really enjoy helping clients see that the law we practice isn’t as confusing as it’s made out to be. I love to hear that our firm has made this process easy for them.”
In April 2022, Connie successfully completed the national Certified Paralegal examination, which is a voluntary professional credentialing program developed by NALA – The Paralegal Association. The Certified Paralegal Program involves successful completion of a comprehensive legal knowledge examination and critical thinking and writing examination. Connie is among 227 paralegals in the State of Ohio and over 20,000 paralegals nationwide who have attained this goal.
Outside of the office, Connie and her family get to the beach or walk on a hiking trail as often as possible. She also loves to read, cook up a new recipe, and play board games with friends.
